Home – Services – RV Refrigerator Repair
Warm air, a tripped breaker, or an AC that won’t start — our RVSA Master Certified technician diagnoses and repairs RV air conditioners onsite, at your driveway, storage lot, or campsite.
— Mobile RV Refrigerator Repair
RV refrigerators run on propane, electric, or both, which means a cooling problem can come from several different places: the cooling unit itself, the control board, ventilation, or the power source. Genesis Mobile RV Service brings the diagnostic tools needed to trace the actual cause directly to your RV, no towing required.
Every repair is performed by Ralph, an RVSA Master Certified RV Technician with more than 25 years of RV industry experience on both absorption (propane/electric) and compressor-style RV refrigerators. That range matters, since the two systems fail in different ways and get repaired differently.
— Why It Matters
A refrigerator that’s slowly failing costs you more than spoiled food if it’s ignored. Here’s what fast, on-site repair actually protects.
Most cooling issues are diagnosed and repaired in one visit, so you’re not throwing out a fridge full of food mid-trip.
A failing cooling unit or control board caught early is often a repair. Left running poorly too long, it can fail completely and require full replacement.
The technician comes to your driveway, storage lot, or campsite. Your RV never has to leave where it’s parked.
You know the service call and labor rate upfront, and any parts cost is approved by you before work begins.
— Common Problems
Often a failing cooling unit, blocked ventilation, or a control board issue depending on how the fridge is powered.
Usually points to a failing capacitor, motor, or a wiring issue drawing too much current.
Can point to a control board fault, a bad thermocouple, or a power supply issue at the source.
A noticeable chemical odor can mean the cooling unit has developed a leak and needs replacement.
Compressor-style units that start running loud often have a failing compressor or fan.
Cooling that works sometimes but not consistently often points to a thermostat or control board issue.
— What’s Included
Every visit starts with the $150 service call and diagnostic, which covers dispatch to your location and a full inspection of the cooling system before any repair work begins.
Checking the cooling unit, control board, ventilation, and power source to find the actual cause.
Diagnosing and replacing faulty boards causing inconsistent or failed cooling.
Addressing ammonia leaks, blockages, or failures in the cooling unit itself.
Fixing blocked vents that cause a fridge to underperform even when otherwise healthy.
Repairs for both propane/electric absorption fridges and 12V compressor units.
Full refrigerator replacement and installation when a cooling unit has failed beyond repair.
Service call covers dispatch and diagnosis. Labor is billed only after that.

— Questions We Hear Often
Every visit starts with a $150 service call and diagnostic, then a $200 per hour labor rate once the cause is identified. Any replacement parts, such as a control board or cooling unit, are quoted separately and approved by you before any work begins.
This usually points to a control board fault, a bad thermocouple, or an issue with the propane supply itself. A full diagnostic checks all three before any part gets replaced.
Most issues, including control board failures and ventilation problems, are repairable. Replacement is usually only needed when the cooling unit itself has developed an ammonia leak, which can’t be repaired.
We come to wherever your RV is parked within our service area, including campgrounds, storage lots, and driveways throughout Port Orange and the surrounding Volusia County area.
